The Situation
TWH Homes operates as both a landlord and a letting agent, which means the workload of two business types, running in parallel. Before COHO, they were on an existing platform that couldn’t keep up: slow at the back end, limited features, and not built with lettings agents in mind.
It wasn’t one breaking point that forced a change. It was a slow accumulation: a system too slow to keep up, a feature set too limited to cover both sides of the business, and a growing number of separate tools filling the gaps. Tom describes it plainly: “It just wasn’t fit for purpose.”
They looked at two alternatives. One seemed functional but dated, simply not designed for the way lettings agents work today. Other agents they spoke to confirmed it: clunky, slow, limited.
So they kept looking.
“It’s like before smartphones, when you had to carry a calculator, a camera, a notebook, a diary. Then smartphones came along and you could do it all in one place… plus so many new things.
That’s how COHO feels.”

What They Needed
TWH Homes weren’t looking for software that was slightly better. They needed something built for the way they actually work, as agents who also think like landlords, managing tenants and servicing clients at the same time.
Three requirements were non-negotiable:
- One platform for everything, not a collection of tools bolted together.
- Software designed specifically for the lettings world, not a generic system adapted to fit.
- Something built to enable them to scale when they added new properties without adding more staff.

What Changed
Tom’s answer to “what was the first thing you noticed that was easier?” was simple.
“It wasn’t one thing. It was just everything.”
The workflows made sense, because they’d been built by people who understood the job. The mobile app worked properly, which their previous software never had. Landlords could be serviced properly. Everything was in one place.
The support is fast. When something needs changing or a new feature arrives, it happens quickly. For a business managing multiple properties and clients, that responsiveness matters.
“It just feels like everything is being consolidated down. One platform, one thing to train people on, loads of support. I’m a massive fan of how fast things get modified, if anything goes wrong or there’s a new feature, it happens so fast. I’d define it as the Swiss Army knife of software, or the smartphone of software, if you like.”

The Result
TWH Homes replaced their previous platform, retired the separate systems around it, and moved everything onto COHO. Training became simpler, operations became cleaner. The business, running as both landlord and agent, finally had software that could hold both sides of it.

“We moved to COHO because we saw a partner in COHO, somebody who cares about both the tenant, landlord and agent experience and wants to create something that improves everybody’s experience of that process.”
