I've worked in business and sales within different market sectors for the past 10 years or so and within that time I developed an interest and passion for property. This naturally led to the co-creation of Fika with a vision and determination to change the way in which HMO management services are delivered to landlords. I mainly focus on speaking with Landlords that we feel we can help and add value to and help tenants to find a safe and comfortable place to live.
I was born and bread in Portsmouth and now live just outside the city with Natalie where we have two young children together.

I previously worked as the HMO Property Manager for a local agency being responsible for around 250 rooms where I gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience very quickly. Wanting to create a business for ourselves, Sam and I decided to set up Fika focusing on the very niche market of HMO management. I focus on managing landlords' properties compliantly and effectively ensuring that we keep them in a good state of repair and that landlords receive the best possible experience whilst working with us.
Like Sam, I was born in Portsmouth too (we even went to the same school together!) and our two children are our pride and joy.
Lettings
From marketing your rooms to checking in tenants and everything in between, we offer a range of letting services that ensure you're always compliant.
We don't just let to the first tenant that comes knocking just so we can get paid quicker. Unlike many agencies, we proactively find suitable tenants using social media, email campaigns and through our network of contacts to ensure we find the right tenants that will pay on time, respect your property and that have similar interests to those already living there and therein creating a positive house culture. We also incentivise and reward tenants for letting through us and for as long as they stay, all of which means tenants stay longer.
Management
All too often we see landlords invest lots of time and money in their properties but very quickly need to spend more and more due to poor outsourced management. Our job is to ensure this doesn't happen.
We regularly inspect each property with a full report highlighting any areas of concern or that need attention, no matter how big or small, and will send and discuss with you the appropriate action to be taken. We handle any reactive issues the same day, including the minor ones before they become major. In an industry full of overwhelming legislation, compliance is also key and that's exactly what we do in ensuring all routine maintenance is conducted on time.
